Here are some friends of mine . . .
Prevent Blindness Mid-Atlantic
The crazy kids at Prevent Blindness check the vision of school children in Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC. And they find kids who don’t even know they have severe vision problems that could lead to ‘bad attitudes’ and a serious inability to learn — at the very least. Then there are those who face impending blindness — and don’t know it! — that could be avoided 90% of the time. If you are looking for a place to invest a few bucks in something good, call Pat with your credit card… (888) 790-2020, ext. 0.
This is my youngest cousin. I’ve called her Lester since we were little kids. Who knew she could do this kinda stuff!!?? Not me. Knocked me out when I first saw the talent she has. This link is to her Facebook photos. My guess is that she will ship to you.
Pete and Lily take pictures that will take your breath away. Seriously. Like these shots of Charlie and Caitlin when they were hatchlings. Charlie and Caitlin will probably call me GrandTad . . . if I will get my behind over there and spend some more time with them.
Jim McCool is actually from Oklahoma, but claims Bon Air, VA. as home for the past 30 years or so. He does great custom framing, but his real gift is restoring fine art. He is more of an artist than the artists who bring him their stuff to fix and frame! But that’s just my opinion. (I’m usually right about stuff like that, though.)
American Neighborhood Housing Foundation
This is my little brother’s joint. People who need help because their home is in jeopardy can get help from these guys. Real help. Not the kind where somebody is trying to snake your house from you. They are a talented bunch of people with good hearts who know how to do something that almost nobody knows how to do.
OK. That’s actually me. And I would like to encourage you to start a golf tournament so you can use the product sold at this web site! Really. You’ll feel better about yourself if you do. <grin> And that is, after all, what I am here for.
